Overview

Solar sized to your bill, not to a sales target.

A solar PV system turns your roof into your cheapest source of electricity. We start with your last 12 months of bills, work out when you actually use power, and size the panels and inverter to match. Nothing oversized to pad the quote. Every system uses Tier-1 monocrystalline panels and a hybrid inverter from SMA, Victron or GoodWe, and it's installed by a team with a Wireman's Licence. In Cape Town, grid-tied systems have to be registered with the City as Small-Scale Embedded Generation (SSEG). We do that paperwork for you, and once you're registered you can apply to sell surplus power back to the City through its Cash for Power programme.

Who it's for

Homeowners tired of rising electricity bills, businesses that use most of their power in daylight hours, and farms with pumping or cold-storage loads.

FAQs

Solar Panel Installation questions

How much does solar panel installation cost in Cape Town?

It depends on the size of the system and whether you add batteries. A grid-tied system for a typical home costs less than a hybrid system with storage, and commercial systems are priced per kWp. We give you a fixed, itemised quote after a free assessment of your bills and site.

Do I need permission from the City of Cape Town to install solar?

Yes. Any system that connects to the grid must be registered with the City as Small-Scale Embedded Generation (SSEG). We prepare and submit the application for you as part of the installation.

How long does a residential solar installation take?

Most home installations take 1 to 3 days on site once the design is approved. Commercial and farm systems take longer depending on size and site access.
